Meet our Governors

 Tracy Manners - Co-chair

Cyril Brites - Co-chair and Parent Governor

Food has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember. I am a foodie and have been working in the food industry for over 20 years as an entrepreneur, consultant and manager. I am passionate about sustainability which includes not only protecting and rewilding our environment but also, a fairer society and racial justice. I have been striving in the last three years to bring my passion for food and sustainability together.

I live in Ruislip and I am delighted to be a governor at my daughter's school. What is important to me is to be supportive of the headteacher, the staff, the children and the community as a whole. I hope to bring my business skills and my ambition for the school as a parent to the governing board.

  Carole Millard - Staff Governor

I wanted to become a governor at Bourne because, as an experienced governor, I recognise the importance of governance.  I am particularly interested in ensuring that the link between governors and staff is a positive one.

I have been a governor in both schools which my children attended. Indeed, despite it being more than 4 years since my daughter left school, I am still a governor at her former school.  In this role I chair the Curriculum and Standards Committee and am the governor with responsibility for safeguarding.

I am looking forward to working with the other governors at Bourne.

 Nimeo Mohamud - Co-opted Governor

Having dedicated six years to Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) education, I bring a wealth of experience to the table. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to join the governing body, as I am eager to contribute to, and support, initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. I believe that my background in SEND education equips me with valuable insights and skills that can be instrumental in shaping positive outcomes for students. I am genuinely excited about the prospect of being actively involved in the decision-making processes that drive positive change and enhance the educational experience for children at Bourne.

Lynne Kauffman - Co-opted Governor

Clare Murray - Co-opted Governor

 Joanna Kindley - Parent Governor

Steve Thorne - Local Authority Governor

I am a retired IT person who is old enough to remember when we talked to our computers with punched cards and paper tape. But all through my life I’ve been an ardent supporter of high-quality education for everyone, particularly our youngest citizens who deserve the best start to their lives. My personal objective from joining the governing body is to help the Head Teacher and everyone at the school with making sure the children receive the learning they need and – at the same time – enjoy the experience of learning.

 Michelle Green - Headteacher

Coming from a successful, business background before venturing into teaching, puts me in good stead to be a valuable part of the Governing Board. We work together as a team to forge the school's long-term, strategic direction in line with the agreed objectives in the 3-year School Development Plan. I have been a member of a governing board / Trust at several schools and I always put children at the heart of how I lead the school. Bourne is a fantastic place to learn and with the governors, I want to ensure that many more children build excellent foundations for their educational journey, as life-long learners.

Jane Stewart - Clerk to the Governing Board
